I’m not a huge lister, but if you’re interested in my Detroit bird list, here is a working copy.

At the beginning of the pandemic, when lots of people were getting into birding, I made this free zine for to be downloaded and printed. It isn’t perfect.

I have a lot of ideas that never get fully realized. I made this drawing based off one of my photos, and seeing my neighborhood go up for sale, I planned to wheat paste these vultures on For Sale signs. It turns out I’m really bad at making wheat paste, but please feel free to print one and stick it up for me!

A great local source of information comes from a true naturalist, Leonard Weber. Leonard’s main beat is Eliza Howell, a large park on Detroit’s West Side. His walks are accessible, informational and welcoming, I can only hope to be as good as him some day. He keeps a blog of his findings, which he updates regularly.

ebird.org is a great free tool to view and post birds in your area. Stay tuned for my guide on using it.

Cornell Lab of Ornithology is the most comprehensive bird site around!
